The P.K. Appiah Foundation recently carried out a meaningful outreach at the Nsawam Prison, reaffirming its commitment to reaching all people with love, hope and the message of Christ.
During the visit, the team engaged inmates through evangelism, sharing the Gospel and leading many to make the life-changing decision to follow Christ. It was a powerful reminder that no one is beyond redemption and that hope can be found in every place.
As part of the outreach, the Foundation donated food items, clothes and personal healthcare supplies to support the well-being of the inmates. These contributions were warmly received by both inmates and officers, who expressed their appreciation for the gesture.
Prison officers also used the opportunity to encourage the public not to neglect inmates, emphasizing that they remain part of society and deserve care and support. They highlighted that while circumstances may differ, we are all human and it takes only a moment’s misstep for anyone to find themselves in such a situation. They further stressed that freedom is precious and should never be taken for granted.
With a population of approximately 3,600 inmates, the facility houses significantly more males than females, pointing to the scale of need within the prison community.
This outreach reflects the Foundation’s mission of leading generations to Christ through service and ministry, demonstrating that true impact goes beyond words and into action. The P.K. Appiah Foundation remains committed to extending compassion to all, ensuring that no group is forgotten.
